My first is to become a real blogger... I am always so impressed reading other's blogs about their quilting endeavors; especially, my newest favorite, Bonnie Hunter! I truly wanted to start her Celtic Solstice Mystery when she first published Part One but the holidays got the better of me. My son and his wife came home for a week at Christmas and seeing they are expecting their first baby in March, I thought it was fitting to throw them a surprise baby shower on December 28th. Needless to say, my Celtic Solstice was put on the back burner.
On December 30th, I drove the kids to Boston to catch their flight home and while driving back, I decided that was the day I would start! I got home and pulled out oranges, yellows, greens, and blues. I spent the entire day and evening, and the next one, too, cutting and sewing and ironing. I got most of parts one through three completed! I wish I had taken pictures of my steps along the way.
Back to my New Year's vows (note that I do not refer to them as resolutions. I vow to make this list happen!
2. Complete one unfinished product every month.
3. Enter into a fall or Christmas Craft Fair this year.
4. Work on my inventory as if it's my job...at least four hours per day Monday thru Thursday and on weekends when I can. Fridays are always my days at the Meeting House!
5. More later!
Back to becoming a real blogger. I saw on Bonnie Hunter's blog that they have "Mystery Monday Link-ups to show pictures on your blog of your progress on the mystery. I also saw that you can only post new links until Sunday, January 12th so I'd better get going!
